Paclitaxel(English: paclitaxel,PTX, or PacificPaclitaxel)
A high-efficiency, low-toxicity, broad-spectrum natural anti-cancer drug, molecular for©mula C47H51NO14, has been widely used in clinical trea®tment of breast cancer, ovarian cancer and some head and neck c÷ancer and lung cancer.
At present, Taxus plants are still the main source of taxol. The main way ♣to obtain taxol is to directly extract and separate taxol from Taxus or to synthesize taxol× from the extracted taxol structural analogs. So far, taxol is mainly extracted d↕irectly from the branches and leaves or bark of natuλral and artificially cultivated Taxus chinensis. Paclitaxel instability, long separat"ion cycle, susceptible to acid-base, temperature and ↑other conditions of isomerization and degradation, at the same time, low separation eff↓iciency leads to higher production costs, but also makes the limited resources ofβ Taxus chinensis difficult to achieve effective use. Therefore, it is very nec™essary and urgent to explore the extraction and purification technol←ogy of taxol in a more in-depth and comprehensive way, and to establish a rapid, efficient,≥ economical and environmentally friendly extraction and purificatio♣n method. The extraction and purification techniques of paclitaxel were reviewed.π
